Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A.) welcomed the arrival of the M/V Tourmaline Ace, one of the newest vessels in Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL)’s fleet, at the Port of Piraeus on 10 March 2026.

The ship carried around 1,000 vehicles bound for the Greek market, underlining Piraeus’ strategic role in the international vehicle supply chain.
MOL operates over 95 specialized car and truck carriers, with capacities of up to 5,000 standard vehicles per vessel.
The Tourmaline Ace represents MOL’s next-generation Pure Car and Truck Carrier design, featuring an LNG propulsion system that cuts emissions by 25–30 per cent CO2, 85 per cent NOx, and up to 98 per cent SOx compared with conventional fuels.
Commenting on the call, PPA CEO Su Xudong said: “The arrival of modern next-generation vessels, such as the M/V Tourmaline Ace, strengthens the port’s position as a strategic vehicle transport hub in the region, while demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development and environmentally responsible port operations.”
This comes two months after PSA Singapore (PSA) and MOL announced a joint venture RoRo terminal in Singapore.
