New container management solution coming to Patrick Terminals
Patrick Terminals and OneStop have announced the launch of
OptiBook, a cutting-edge container management solution integrated with the
OneStop Vehicle Booking System.

OptiBook is poised to deliver a multitude of benefits to Patrick Terminals’
clients, including enhanced visibility into container status, quicker access to
available containers, and an improved slot booking process.
This innovative system will facilitate more efficient truck bookings for
cleared and discharged containers and ensure a transparent process for
confirming these bookings, according to both companies.
OptiBook will make its debut at Patrick’s Melbourne terminal on 3 December
2023.
The OptiBook solution harnesses geofencing technology to provide real-time
insights into container availability. It also integrates with the OneStop
Deliver App, a platform that offers carriers real-time communication
capabilities, streamlined job allocation, and the elimination of manual
procedures.
Sam Askin, CEO of OneStop, said: “We are thrilled to unveil the OptiBook
platform at Patrick Terminals in Melbourne. OptiBook is an exciting solution
intended to modernise and simplify container transportation management. OneStop
eagerly anticipates collaborating with the industry to roll out the OptiBook
solution.”
Michael Jovicic, CEO of Patrick Terminals, added: “OneStop has created a
container booking system that promises to optimise landside container
management, and we are delighted to join forces with them to introduce this
innovation to the market.
“OptiBook will provide improved container visibility, real-time booking
options based on container availability, ultimately reducing dwell time and
enhancing the flow of trucks through our terminals. This is a win-win for
transport operators, truck drivers, and our terminal team. We eagerly anticipate
the December launch.”
According to OneStop and Patrick Terminals, transport operators can expect
to receive comprehensive documentation and support to ease their transition to
the new booking system.
Carriers will also receive detailed instructions for downloading and
utilising the OneStop Deliver App, ensuring a smooth and efficient adoption of
this game-changing technology.
In September, OneStop announced its partnership with PortConnect, aimed at
unlocking the potential within the supply chain of Australia and New Zealand
through the innovative use of data and cutting-edge technologies.
