The Port of Singapore has won as \u201cBest Global Seaport\u201d at the 2022 <\/p>\n

Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the second time that the Port of Singapore has received the award, <\/p>\n

the first time in 2021.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, the Port of Singapore was also named \u201cBest Seaport in Asia\u201d <\/p>\n

for the 34th time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

These awards recognise the contributions by the Port of Singapore to <\/p>\n

support global supply chains and its leadership in driving maritime <\/p>\n

transformation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a leading international maritime centre and the world\u2019s busiest <\/p>\n

transhipment port, the Port of Singapore will continue to play our part to keep <\/p>\n

supply chains going as the global economy recovers from COVID-19,\u201d said Teo Eng <\/p>\n

Dih, Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are humbled by the affirmation from industry and thank our tripartite <\/p>\n

partners for their strong support. We will continue to uphold high service <\/p>\n

standards and drive initiatives that enable Singapore to be a more vibrant, <\/p>\n

digital and sustainable port.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The annual AFLAS Awards is organised by freight and logistics publication, <\/p>\n

Asia Cargo News, to honour leading service providers in the supply chain <\/p>\n

community for demonstrating leadership as well as consistency in service <\/p>\n

quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Winners were determined by votes cast by readers of the publication and <\/p>\n

announced on 7 September.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In July, Singapore secured the top spot once again in the Xinhua-Baltic <\/p>\n

International Shipping Centre Development Index Report.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was the ninth consecutive year that the report \u2013 published jointly by <\/p>\n

Chinese state news agency, Xinhua, and global maritime data provider, the Baltic <\/p>\n

Exchange \u2013 ranked Singapore as the global leading maritime centre.<\/p>\n
