{"id":1175,"date":"2022-08-22T09:54:17","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T01:54:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/scottishpower-maps-out-green-hydrogen-plant-at-felixstowe-port\/"},"modified":"2022-08-22T09:54:17","modified_gmt":"2022-08-22T01:54:17","slug":"scottishpower-maps-out-green-hydrogen-plant-at-felixstowe-port","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/scottishpower-maps-out-green-hydrogen-plant-at-felixstowe-port\/","title":{"rendered":"ScottishPower maps out green hydrogen plant at Felixstowe port"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px; line-height:25px; text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>ScottishPower, with Hutchison Ports, is exploring the opportunity <\/p>\n<p>to develop, build and operate a major green hydrogen production facility at the <\/p>\n<p>Port of Felixstowe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1661133162181502-1.jpg\" alt=\"ScottishPower maps out green hydrogen plant at Felixstowe port\" title=\"ScottishPower maps out green hydrogen plant at Felixstowe port\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding:15px 0px\"\/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The plan sets out the vision to help decarbonise the industry and <\/p>\n<p>transportation across the region, starting from UK\u2019s largest and busiest <\/p>\n<p>container port.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The proposed 100MW facility could deliver up to 40 tonnes of green hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>per day \u2013 enough to power 1300 hydrogen trucks according to ScottishPower.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Companies are mapping out different usage for green hydrogen, from onshore <\/p>\n<p>purposes \u2013 such as road and rail \u2013 to industrial use \u2013 with the potential to <\/p>\n<p>create liquid forms, such as green ammonia or e-methanol.
