This additional order was received in June 2022 and will be delivered <\/p>\n<p>in the first half of 2023.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSustainability is at the core of our business, so the first thing that <\/p>\n<p>attracted us to the Konecranes E-VER was the fact that it is fully electric,\u201d <\/p>\n<p>said Kari Lundell, CEO of Kemi Shipping.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had one Konecranes E-VER delivered earlier this year for paper board <\/p>\n<p>handling, and we could see its advantages immediately. Besides eliminating <\/p>\n<p>tailpipe emissions, it offers outstanding efficiency, and our drivers love <\/p>\n<p>it.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce all eight E-VER electric forklifts are on-site, they will mark <\/p>\n<p>another big step on our journey to greater productivity and lower <\/p>\n<p>emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The eight lift trucks are Konecranes E-VER 16-1200C forklifts, with a fully <\/p>\n<p>electric driveline and a capacity of 16 tons. The equipment features lithium-ion <\/p>\n<p>batteries taking 45 minutes to fully recharge and re-generating brake energy <\/p>\n<p>back to its battery.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Konecranes said that with less heat, oil and fewer moving parts, this <\/p>\n<p>electric forklift requires less maintenance, and produces less chemical <\/p>\n<p>waste.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The trucks will be supplied with special bale clamps to securely handle <\/p>\n<p>wood pulp.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cKemi Shipping has been a loyal Konecranes customer for over two decades, <\/p>\n<p>sharing our mutual commitment to the environment,\u201d said Klaus Kaukovalta, <\/p>\n<p>Product Manager, Lift Trucks for Konecranes Finland.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cKonecranes E-VER, that won the sawmill industry Product Novelty <\/p>\n<p>Competition for improving the environmental performance, gives us the perfect <\/p>\n<p>opportunity to provide Kemi Shipping equipment that meets their specific <\/p>\n<p>requirements in a demanding industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Konecranes received an order from FHP Group for an <\/p>\n<p>eco-efficient Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Crane at their <\/p>\n<p>Multi Service Terminal in the Port of Marghera, Italy.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The crane will upgrade the port\u2019s bulk handling operations by increasing <\/p>\n<p>efficiency while reducing local exhaust emissions.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kemi Shipping Oy has ordered eight Konecranes E-VER fully electric forklifts including full-service contracts for their operations in the Port of Kemi, Finland.The Finnish logistics company is following up its early 2022 E-VER delivery.
