{"id":1343,"date":"2025-10-10T09:30:27","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T01:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/klaipeda-port-passes-key-test-for-green-hydrogen-project\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T09:30:27","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T01:30:27","slug":"klaipeda-port-passes-key-test-for-green-hydrogen-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/klaipeda-port-passes-key-test-for-green-hydrogen-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Klaip\u0117da Port passes key test for green hydrogen project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px;line-height:30px\">\n<p>Klaip\u0117da Port\u2019s green hydrogen project has reached a key milestone as the <\/p>\n<p>polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolyser successfully passed factory <\/p>\n<p>tests in Italy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1760059509486471-1.jpg\" alt=\"Klaip\u0117da Port passes key test for green hydrogen project\" title=\"Klaip\u0117da Port passes key test for green hydrogen project\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding: 20px 0px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The electrolyser, manufactured at the IMI Remosa plant in Cagliari, will <\/p>\n<p>enable the port to produce around 127 tonnes of green hydrogen annually once <\/p>\n<p>operational.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The production and supply station, due to start operations next year, will <\/p>\n<p>power Lithuania\u2019s first green hydrogen-driven vessel, currently nearing <\/p>\n<p>completion.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Klaip\u0117da Port will be the first in Lithuania and among the Baltic States to <\/p>\n<p>produce and supply green hydrogen, supporting global sustainability efforts and <\/p>\n<p>regional energy transition goals.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The project, funded partly by the EU\u2019s NextGenerationEU recovery facility <\/p>\n<p>with a total cost of approximately \u20ac12 million ($14 million), is on schedule for <\/p>\n<p>construction completion by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Installation and testing of the hydrogen equipment will follow, with all <\/p>\n<p>works set to finish by February 2026.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Algis Latakas, General Director of Klaip\u0117da State Seaport Authority, said: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuccessfully completing the factory tests of the green hydrogen electrolyser is <\/p>\n<p>a major step forward for Klaip\u0117da Port in its plans to produce, use and supply <\/p>\n<p>clean fuels. This milestone brings us much closer to finishing a unique project <\/p>\n<p>in the region and reducing our environmental footprint.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Port Authority and its partners have ensured the core systems of the <\/p>\n<p>green hydrogen base work flawlessly, allowing the project to stay on track.
