{"id":1349,"date":"2025-10-05T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T04:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/cavotec-to-deliver-maldives-first-shore-power-systems\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T12:08:00","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T04:08:00","slug":"cavotec-to-deliver-maldives-first-shore-power-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/cavotec-to-deliver-maldives-first-shore-power-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"Cavotec to deliver Maldives\u2019 first shore power systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px;line-height:30px\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1759205209849970-1.png\" alt=\"Cavotec to deliver Maldives\u2019 first shore power systems\" title=\"Cavotec to deliver Maldives\u2019 first shore power systems\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding: 20px 0px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This is the first shore power installation in the Maldives and marks an <\/p>\n<p>important step in the country\u2019s efforts to reduce carbon emissions in its <\/p>\n<p>ports.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>It also serves as a significant reference in the region, creating <\/p>\n<p>opportunities for further projects in neighbouring island nations and South <\/p>\n<p>Asia.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The systems will enable vessels calling at the port to connect to <\/p>\n<p>electrical power while berthed, eliminating berth emissions and reducing the use <\/p>\n<p>of auxiliary engines.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This cuts local air pollution and GHG emissions, and extends the <\/p>\n<p>operational lifespan of vessel engines.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The order includes five Power Run and Power Feed systems, with deliveries <\/p>\n<p>scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec, said: \u201cThis order is an important milestone <\/p>\n<p>both for the Maldives and for Cavotec.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt demonstrates the growing global commitment to port electrification and <\/p>\n<p>positions Cavotec at the forefront of enabling this transition.
