{"id":290,"date":"2025-08-29T09:35:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T01:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/pilbara-ports-outlines-strategy-for-emissions-reduction\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T09:35:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T01:35:52","slug":"pilbara-ports-outlines-strategy-for-emissions-reduction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/pilbara-ports-outlines-strategy-for-emissions-reduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Pilbara Ports outlines strategy for emissions reduction"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px;line-height:30px\">\n<p>Pilbara Ports has released its first Climate Action Plan (2025\u20132030), <\/p>\n<p>setting a framework to guide sustainable port operations and support <\/p>\n<p>decarbonisation across the Pilbara region.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1756430879719317-1.jpg\" alt=\"Pilbara Ports outlines strategy for emissions reduction\" title=\"Pilbara Ports outlines strategy for emissions reduction\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding:20px 0px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The five-year plan outlines actions under three focus areas: Climate Change <\/p>\n<p>Opportunity, Climate Change Resilience, and Emissions Reduction, each with <\/p>\n<p>targeted initiatives to address climate-related risks.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The plan aims to align Pilbara Ports\u2019 operations with broader efforts to <\/p>\n<p>cut emissions, while assisting customers in meeting their own climate <\/p>\n<p>targets.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer, Samuel McSkimming, said the plan highlights the <\/p>\n<p>organisation\u2019s role in advancing low-carbon development: \u201cAs one of Australia\u2019s <\/p>\n<p>leading facilitators of iron ore trade, we play a vital role in driving the <\/p>\n<p>global transition to net zero by 2050.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis plan is about taking tangible steps to future proof our port <\/p>\n<p>operations, embracing new partnerships and opportunities, and developing <\/p>\n<p>initiatives that will support decarbonisation initiatives through our ports.
