{"id":489,"date":"2024-10-12T13:58:08","date_gmt":"2024-10-12T05:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/port-of-gothenburg-launches-hydrogen-refueling-station\/"},"modified":"2024-10-12T13:58:08","modified_gmt":"2024-10-12T05:58:08","slug":"port-of-gothenburg-launches-hydrogen-refueling-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/port-of-gothenburg-launches-hydrogen-refueling-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Port of Gothenburg launches hydrogen refueling station"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px;line-height:30px\">\n<p><strong>The Port of Gothenburg has announced the launch of a hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>refueling station for heavy traffic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1728712622587636-1.png\" alt=\"Port of Gothenburg launches hydrogen refueling station\" title=\"Port of Gothenburg launches hydrogen refueling station\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding:20px 0px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The station launched over the weekend and is located adjacent to one of the <\/p>\n<p>port\u2019s busiest entrances, as well as one of Sweden\u2019s most truck-heavy locations, <\/p>\n<p>supplying exclusively green hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Viktor Allgur\u00e9n, Head of Innovation at the Port of Gothenburg, said: \u201cThe <\/p>\n<p>large flow of trucks to the port and the possibility to refuel work machinery <\/p>\n<p>make the location for this hydrogen refueling station ideal. Combined with <\/p>\n<p>several existing charging stations around the port, heavy land transport at the <\/p>\n<p>Port of Gothenburg is now fully ready for a transition to both electricity and <\/p>\n<p>hydrogen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The station is located next to Gate 6, the entry to the Gothenburg RoRo <\/p>\n<p>Terminal. The entrance road leading to the gate is one of Sweden\u2019s most <\/p>\n<p>frequently used routes, with 400,000 heavy vehicle passes annually.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>When Stena Line moves its present Germany and Denmark terminals to Arendal, <\/p>\n<p>directly west of the RoRo terminal, the number of cars in the region is <\/p>\n<p>projected to grow considerably more in the following years.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Hydri operates the station, which is part of a Swedish hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>infrastructure network that will include roughly 20 hydrogen stations in 2024 <\/p>\n<p>and 2025.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Swedish Energy Agency partially funds the first station, which is <\/p>\n<p>located near the Port of Gothenburg.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Michel Thomas, CEO of Qarlbo Energy and Chairman of the Board at Hydri, <\/p>\n<p>stated: \u201cGreen hydrogen has great potential to drive the transition of heavy <\/p>\n<p>transport.
