Valenciaport has announced that the European project RENEWPORT is <\/p>\n

already underway in the Valencian docks. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Valenciaport<\/p>\n

The participation of the Port Authority of Val\u00e8ncia (PAV) consists of the <\/p>\n

installation of innovative renewable energy generation systems for <\/p>\n

self-consumption in the Port of Valencia.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

These innovative systems use existing free surfaces in the port for their <\/p>\n

\u201cenergisation\u201d through the installation of solar panels. The PAV\u2019s budget for <\/p>\n

this project is \u20ac280,000 ($300,864) and will last until 2026.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

From this pilot test and once the results of the implementation of the <\/p>\n

installation are obtained, it will be possible to obtain the knowledge for the <\/p>\n

massive implementation of this technology both in the ports managed by the PAV <\/p>\n

and by the other ports participating in the RENEWPORT project, as well as other <\/p>\n

ports outside the Euro-Med environment, reported Valenciaport.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Port Authority of Val\u00e8ncia is part of the RENEWPORT project together <\/p>\n

with other partners from Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania <\/p>\n

and Greece.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This project, whose first meeting was held on 26 January this year, is <\/p>\n

funded by the European Union through its Interreg Euro-Med programme and has a <\/p>\n

budget of \u20ac2.9 million ($3.2 million).<\/p>\n

In addition to the Valenciaport Foundation, the PAV and the Autorit\u00e0 di <\/p>\n

Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico, seven other entities participate in the <\/p>\n

RENEWPORT project: Autorit\u00e0 di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale, <\/p>\n

Chambre de commerce et d\u2019industrie du Var, Port of Koper, Port Authority of <\/p>\n

Rijeka, Port of BAR JSC, Durres Port Authority and Piraeus Port Authority.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Last month, the PAV awarded construction company SAMPOL Ingenier\u00eda y Obras <\/p>\n

S.A. the contract for the drafting and subsequent execution of the Onshore Power <\/p>\n

Supply (OPS) project.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the same week, the PAV received four proposals for the construction of <\/p>\n
