The <\/p>\n<p>canal\u2019s fiscal year starts from October.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Ricaurte Vasquez, Canal Administrator, said in a press conference to <\/p>\n<p>reporters it was \u201cpossible\u201d for the trend of falling revenue tolls to <\/p>\n<p>persist.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Despite this hinderance, the canal is projected to meet its income targets <\/p>\n<p>for the fiscal year set out in its budget. This is partly due to a toll increase <\/p>\n<p>that has come into effect recently, according to Reuters.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In August 2023, the Panama Canal Authority (PCA) opted to limit the daily <\/p>\n<p>transits in response to rising congestion.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>More recently, A.P.
