Denmark has unveiled the Green Fuels Alliance India (GFAI) project, <\/p>\n

which aims to strengthen collaboration efforts between the two nations in the <\/p>\n

sustainable energy solutions sector and further shared global objective of <\/p>\n

carbon neutrality.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Denmark<\/p>\n

The new alliance, led by the Danish Embassy and the Consulate General of <\/p>\n

Denmark in India, is a strategic initiative that aims to advance the Green Fuels <\/p>\n

sector, including Green Hydrogen, by encouraging innovation, collaboration, and <\/p>\n

partnerships between Danish and Indian industries.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to A.P. Moller \u2013 Maersk, the primary objective of GFAI is to <\/p>\n

support sustainable energy growth in India by creating an environment that <\/p>\n

fosters collaboration between Indian and Danish firms, government organisations, <\/p>\n

research institutes, and financial players.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Maersk, Topsoe, Umwelt Energy, Mash Makes, European Sustainable Solutions, <\/p>\n

Novozymes, Danfoss, Brdr. Christensen, and Hydrogen Denmark are among the nine <\/p>\n

pioneering Danish organisations that have already joined the GFAI project as <\/p>\n

founding members.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, members of the GFAI advisory board include the India Hydrogen <\/p>\n

Alliance, the Energy Consortium of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, <\/p>\n

the Danish Energy Agency, and State of Green.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The GFAI announcement comes at an opportune time in history, as India makes <\/p>\n

huge efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2070.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Denmark reportedly topped the global Climate Performance Ranking 2024 and <\/p>\n

is on track to become carbon neutral by 2050.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The GFAI exemplifies operations within the Green Strategic Partnership <\/p>\n

(GSP) signed in 2020 by India and Denmark to fulfil the partner nations\u2019 <\/p>\n

ambitious climate commitments.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ambassador of Denmark to India, H.E. Freddy Svane, is hopeful that such an <\/p>\n

international collaboration has the potential to greatly aid the global green <\/p>\n

transition.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

this very important junction. Danish companies bring skills to the green <\/p>\n

transition globally. Happy to see the special efforts through the Green <\/p>\n

Morten Bo Christiansen, Head of Energy Transition, Maersk, said: \u201cThe <\/p>\n

availability of green energy and green fuel in sufficient quantities at <\/p>\n

cost-competitive price levels is the single largest challenge to the global <\/p>\n

shipping\u2019s net-zero journey.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cIndia has excellent conditions for renewable energy production and <\/p>\n

ambitions to be a global leader in the green energy value chain. Drawing on our <\/p>\n

more than 100 years of business relations with the nation, we are very excited <\/p>\n

to join the involved Indian and Danish stakeholders as a founding member of the <\/p>\n

GFAI.\u201d<\/p>\n

In March 2023, Maersk announced the commencement of its new air freight <\/p>\n

service with scheduled flights between Billund, Denmark, and Hangzhou, <\/p>\n
