Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has introduced another <\/p>\n

green 24,000+ TEU mega vessel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 5 January 2024, the newest member of OOCL\u2019s fleet was christened OOCL <\/p>\n

Valencia at a ceremony conducted at the Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., <\/p>\n

Ltd. (NACKS) shipyard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The vessel is the seventh in a series of 12 eco-friendly 24,188 TEU vessels <\/p>\n

ordered by OOCL, as well as the first OOCL new vessel in 2024 that will run <\/p>\n

OOCL\u2019s Asia-Europe LL1 route.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Yu Tao, Director and Member of Executive Committee of OOCL, said: \u201cLast <\/p>\n

year, OOCL received a total of six new container vessels and thus rapidly <\/p>\n

optimised the fleet structure of both OOCL and the group.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the new year, in addition to the OOCL Valencia, more high-quality and <\/p>\n

high-performance ships will sail from here. OOCL and NACKS will continue to work <\/p>\n

for win-win cooperation, grow together, and strive to create value for customers <\/p>\n

and society.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September 2023, OOCL added another mega containership to its fleet, <\/p>\n

\u2018OOCL Zeebrugge\u2019, the fifth environmentally friendly 24,188 TEU vessel in a <\/p>\n

series of 12.<\/p>\n

One month later, OOCL named its sixth eco-friendly 24,188 TEU, the OOCL <\/p>\n
