{"id":795,"date":"2023-10-18T09:50:40","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T01:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/port-of-oakland-secures-federal-funding-for-hydrogen-projects\/"},"modified":"2023-10-18T09:50:40","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T01:50:40","slug":"port-of-oakland-secures-federal-funding-for-hydrogen-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/port-of-oakland-secures-federal-funding-for-hydrogen-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Port of Oakland secures federal funding for hydrogen projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px; line-height:25px; text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>The Port of Oakland has announced that its hydrogen projects are in <\/p>\n<p>line to receive state funding of up to $1.2 billion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1697591662920563-1.jpg\" alt=\"Port of Oakland secures federal funding for hydrogen projects\" title=\"Port of Oakland secures federal funding for hydrogen projects\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding:15px 0px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This comes after the announcement made by President Biden\u2019s administration <\/p>\n<p>on 13 October, awarding funds to California as a designated hydrogen hub.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to have outstanding federal, state, and local support for <\/p>\n<p>our vision to become a zero emissions seaport,\u201d said Port of Oakland Executive <\/p>\n<p>Director Danny Wan.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt takes major investments to finance initiatives like hydrogen projects <\/p>\n<p>that will deliver a greener, cleaner environment.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank the leadership of the Newsom Administration and\u202fARCHES\u202fand the <\/p>\n<p>funding support from the Department of Energy to advance vital goals that <\/p>\n<p>address climate change,\u201d Wan added.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>California was named as one of seven regional hubs across the country that <\/p>\n<p>combined, will receive a total of $7 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law <\/p>\n<p>funding.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The funding is aimed at advancing the domestic market for low-cost, clean <\/p>\n<p>hydrogen. These regional hubs will produce and use hydrogen, improve air <\/p>\n<p>quality, and support California\u2019s workforce with green jobs.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Port of Oakland is a partner in the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>Energy Systems (ARCHES), a statewide public-private partnership that will build <\/p>\n<p>the framework for California\u2019s renewable, clean hydrogen hub.
