{"id":873,"date":"2026-04-17T09:27:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T01:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/rotterdam-advances-europes-largest-hydrogen-plant\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T09:27:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T01:27:44","slug":"rotterdam-advances-europes-largest-hydrogen-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/rotterdam-advances-europes-largest-hydrogen-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"Rotterdam advances Europe\u2019s largest hydrogen plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; background-color:rgb(246,246,246); padding:20px;line-height:30px\">\n<p>Air Products is advancing construction of its new liquid hydrogen facility <\/p>\n<p>at the Port of Rotterdam, with the project now over 65 per cent complete and on <\/p>\n<p>track for a 2027 start-up.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hajomech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1776387697492084-1.jpg\" alt=\"Rotterdam advances Europe\u2019s largest hydrogen plant\" title=\"Rotterdam advances Europe\u2019s largest hydrogen plant\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; padding:20px 0px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Once finished, the plant will be the largest liquid hydrogen facility of <\/p>\n<p>its kind in Europe, reinforcing Rotterdam\u2019s position as a key hydrogen hub <\/p>\n<p>within the region.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The development is set to significantly expand Europe\u2019s liquid hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>supply, supporting demand across multiple sectors, including electronics <\/p>\n<p>manufacturing, space applications, industrial processing, road mobility, <\/p>\n<p>maritime, aviation and emerging energy markets.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Integrated into Air Products\u2019 existing hydrogen network within the <\/p>\n<p>Rotterdam industrial cluster, the facility will supply customers across the <\/p>\n<p>Benelux, France, Germany and the UK, strengthening cross-border energy <\/p>\n<p>distribution.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>For ports and terminals, the project signals continued momentum in hydrogen <\/p>\n<p>infrastructure deployment, with implications for future bunkering, landside <\/p>\n<p>energy integration and industrial decarbonisation strategies.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, said: \u201cAs <\/p>\n<p>Europe\u2019s largest port and a key energy hub, Rotterdam is committed to enabling <\/p>\n<p>the development of Europe\u2019s hydrogen economy.
