The contract includes a mix of PowerFeed, PowerReach and PowerMove systems, enabling cruise, container, and RoRo vessels to connect to shore electricity while at berth.

By switching off onboard diesel generators, the systems cut emissions, improve air quality, and support the decarbonisation of port operations.

David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec, said: “This order further strengthens our position in the Mediterranean market and reflects the growing demand for shore power solutions as ports and operators work to reduce emissions and comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.”

Cavotec’s new systems build on its track record of operational innovation, following the company’s recent support of the first-ever shore power connection of a car carrier at a European port.
